Remote Retina Insurance Coordinator

Join the US Eye Team US Eye is seeking a detail-oriented, technology-driven Retina Insurance Coordinator to support the financial clearance process for our Retina patients.In this role, you will verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, prepare patient estimates, assist patients with financial assistance programs, and collaborate with clinical and Revenue Cycle Management teams to ensure patients are financially cleared for care.We embrace innovation and continuously look for smarter, more efficient ways to work. You’ll use approved AI, automation, dashboards, and digital workflow tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and the patient experience. What You’ll Do

  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for Retina visits, injections, procedures, and surgeries.
  • Obtain prior authorizations, referrals, and predetermination's.
  • Prepare patient estimates, communicate financial responsibility, and collect payments when appropriate.
  • Assist patients with copay and financial assistance programs.
  • Monitor work queues, dashboards, reports, and automated alerts to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Utilize approved AI, automation, and technology solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and validate information generated by automated and AI-enabled systems.
  • Partner with clinical teams to resolve insurance, authorization, and patient financial concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and the patient experience.
  • Provide financial clearance support for other specialties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
  • Knowledge of health insurance and medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Comfort utilizing AI, automation, and digital workflow solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and exceptional patient service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, Revenue Cycle Management, insurance verification, prior authorization, financial counseling, or Retina services.
  • Experience with healthcare technology, workflow automation, dashboards, or AI-enabled tools.

POSITION DETAILSSchedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • This is a full-time remote position. Location: Remote in AL, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MO, NC, OH, PA,SC,TN,TX,VA
